PagerDuty
Connect Cardinal to PagerDuty to trigger incidents and send alerts through PagerDuty’s incident management platform.
Overview
With the PagerDuty integration, the AI agent can:
- Trigger incidents when anomalies or critical issues are detected
- Send alert notifications through PagerDuty’s escalation policies
- Route alerts to the appropriate on-call responders

Configuration
Credentials
| Field | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Routing Key | Yes | PagerDuty Events API v2 routing key (also called an integration key) |
Prerequisites
- A PagerDuty account with at least one service configured
- A routing key (integration key) from a PagerDuty service
Getting a Routing Key
- Log in to PagerDuty
- Navigate to Services > select the service you want alerts routed to
- Go to the Integrations tab
- Click Add an integration
- Select Events API v2 and click Add
- Copy the Integration Key — this is your routing key
Setup
- Navigate to Settings > Integrations and click Add Integration
- Select PagerDuty
- Enter the Routing Key
- Click Save
PagerDuty integrations do not currently support the Test Connection feature. Verify the routing key is correct by triggering a test alert from your PagerDuty service.
What This Enables
Once configured, the AI agent and automated workflows can create PagerDuty incidents, such as:
- Triggering an alert when error rates exceed thresholds
- Escalating unacknowledged incidents
- Routing critical findings to the on-call team
